We have taken the image of a bowling shirt from the 1950s and reinterpreted it in a modern style.

The material is cotton broadcloth, a material I chose as it is easy to wash in the washing machine at home.

The collar and placket feature ANF embroidery that looks like hand stitching. It is a rare detail that is rarely found in vintage items, but is rare enough to be featured in a book.

The buttons used on the front are bowling pin shaped buttons. These are Dry Bones originals, made from scratch using patterns taken from vintage buttons.

And, although it is a minor detail, there are few brands that do this properly, so I will clarify it here...

Originally, open-collar shirts have horizontal buttonholes to allow more room in the body, while tied-up shirts overwhelmingly have vertical buttonholes.

However, for this bowling shirt, the holes must be vertical, because pin buttons are sewn on vertically with thread passing through them.

Therefore, if the buttonhole is horizontal, the button itself will not be stable and will turn sideways or at an angle. Therefore, when it comes to bowling shirts, the buttonhole must be vertical. Attention to such small details is important.

Both the back and chest embroidery are chain stitched. It says "Red Demon Motorcycle Club." A fictional biker team that seems to have existed in the 1950s.

Bowling and motorcycle riding have one thing in common in that they both involve making your back stand out.
