2025年小寒の酒丸。

Sakemaru in the year 2025.

This is the first blog of the new year, 2025.
I am in mourning,
We will refrain from sending New Year's greetings.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

It's been cold every day, and now it's a bit chilly!
I remember writing about it on my blog every year...
From this little cold to the next great cold,
And it will be the coldest until around the next beginning of spring!
On that cold day at the beginning of the year,
I attended a class reunion wearing a kimono for the first time in a while.
The kimono is a tsumugi from the Taisho period.

The obi is appropriate for the year of the snake.
A sash with a striped snake pattern drawn by a friend.

For the undergarment,
A vintage 1930s Ford.
It was so cold that I gave up on geta sandals and went for boots instead.
Dry Bones' ankle boots are designed with the 1920s in mind.
In other words, from the Taisho era to the early Showa era.
2025 will also mark the 100th year of the Showa era...
It looks like you've traveled back in time from around 1926.

Well.
This heavy storm coat finally arrived at the end of the year .
Introducing the best cold weather clothing for this winter.
This is Camel.

And black.

The outer material is moleskin.
Although it is made of cotton, it is a highly densely woven satin fabric.
Excellent cold protection and water repellency .

This collar provides the best protection from the cold.
Mouton, also known as sheepskin (sheepskin) .
Off-white on camel.

And brown on black.

A waist belt that keeps out cold air from below.

The buckle is wrapped in leather,
Rust-proof and high-quality.

The lining is
A leopard print sticker symbolizing Dry Bones' winter clothing.

In addition, the hem is extensively quilted with cupra.

This is the part that comes into contact with your feet, so it slides easily.

Quilting inside the sleeves too.

There is a moon-shaped underarm cloth to prevent sweat.

The sleeves are also smooth,
You can also bend and straighten your elbows comfortably.

The pocket opening has a triangular latch.

A bit western style and sturdy.

The pocket lining is made of brushed flannel material.
Excellent as a hand warmer.

This storm coat,
It is famous for being a favorite of James Dean.

However...
I actually found it in a movie in the 1980s.

Starring Robert De Niro and Sean Penn
"We 're No Angels."
The setting is the 1930s.
The two are escaped prisoners
In an attempt to somehow cross the border, he blends in with a church group.
The sheriffs, who had received information in advance,
Barricades have been set up in the harsh winter...
The sheriffs are wearing winter clothing,
Matching storm coat.
This one even has mouton on the back of the endpapers.
The highest-end model (which could never be made in Japan today: lol).
I was so inspired by this movie that I bought this for myself.

A storm coat from around the 1960s.
The material is cotton duck,
The presence of a switch in the chest area is a characteristic that has existed since the 1960s.
However…
This is what it looks like when I wear it.

Shawl collar with mouton collar,
Double inner lining.
If there's a change in the chest, it's clearly Rurouni Kenshin...

Finally, with our own brand, Dry Bones,
Get no switching.

I bought black.

But somehow it feels like déjà vu...
And then I thought.

Japanese clothing worn at the beginning of the year,
The overcoat (Kitobi) from the time travel look from 1935 had the same color scheme...
Sheriff, Onizuka, or Showa 1 lol

That's how 2025 began.
Thank you for your continued support this year!
