The Grain Rain of 2025 will occur on April 20th.
The origin of the word "Kokuu" is the phrase "rain falls and nourishes the grains."
Warm rains increased, irrigating the fields,
It's a good time to plant crops.
So this is how I, a self-proclaimed part-time farmer, feel.

I pulled out the tiller that I only use once every six months...
After plowing the fields, they spread cow manure and oyster shells...

Strain them and you're done.
So after letting it rest for about a week,
Now it's time to make the furrows and sow the seeds.
Oh, I'm busy.
Meanwhile,
In the case of those who work in clothing stores,
We now have in stock our classic denim work trousers.
So today I'll explain that.
First, let me introduce you.
Army denim work trousers .
As the name suggests,
Centered around the 1930s,
Denim trousers used by the US Army.
Like the vintage version, it is made from 10oz denim .

Patch pocket and coin pocket on the front.

The front is a sewn-on button fly.

The back has badge pockets on both sides.
There is no rear yoke,
Instead, it has a huge back strap that allows for adjustment.
In vintage,
It's not a big backstrap like this.
The official name is US.ARMY M-35 BUCKLE BACK DENIM TROUSERS.
US.ARMY tin alloy sewn-on buttons,
In rare cases, there are also some with suspender buttons.
Work trousers with a wide waist that extends all the way from the waist to the hem.
And then,
This is the same pair I've been wearing for about 15 years now.

What has arrived this time is,
We have made some slight changes to the buttons and details.

Back style center,
It is equipped with the now defunct Volstead name.

The basic pockets and sewn-on buttons remain unchanged.
But the biggest change is...
Placket stitching color .
At the time, the area around the front buttons also had off-white stitching.
However, the stitching on the large front outside pocket is close...
The center is off and it looks a bit bad.
For a man, "looking bad around the crotch" is a fatal flaw.
The vintage ones have a single stitch so it's not that noticeable...
I double stitched it to make it more sturdy,
It ended up standing out in a bad way (lol)
So, regarding this bottom that I've been making for the past few years,
The stitching on the placket is finished in the same color as the base color.
So it's not noticeable.
While repeating small minor changes,
We aim for better heights.
However, the fabric has consistently been unevenly threaded 10oz denim since the very beginning .
A very cool vertical drop.
These kinds of denim are
It moves quite quickly.
In the coming hot season,
This is the time of year when you want some lightweight denim.
Everyone, please hurry.
Now, let's continue with the story of Grain Rain mentioned at the beginning.
In one corner of the field, there is a bush growing.
Broad bean rows.

Just harvest time.
This year's broad beans are good!

Grill the whole pod on a griddle and serve with coarse salt.
The food mileage is about 5 meters .
It's absolutely delicious .
