2023年大暑の酒丸。

Sakemaru for the Great Heat of 2023.

This is the great heat of 2023.
This is Sakemaru.
Wow, it's really hot.
Going to the beach and eating eel,
I've got my own way of dealing with the heat...
It's a little unusually hot.
It seems like things are getting serious in Europe too.
38.8 degrees in southern Germany,
43 degrees in Greece,
It's 48 degrees in Sicily, Italy!
Japan's 37 degrees is cute.
In the midst of all this, I came across this wonderful moment.

The emergence of the brown cicada.
The jade green feathers are so refreshing!

Well, today…
This has become a standard feature at Dry Bones.
Regarding the very popular 2-tuck trousers,
I'll try to write down some trivia.

This year's linen 2-pleat trousers are
These two colors.

Olive and cinnamon.
It looks pretty flashy in this photo...
It actually looks like this.

Olive.
There's not much difference (lol)
It's a bit more subdued in tone.

and…

This is cinnamon.
As expected, it looks a little red in the photo (sweat)
The real color is more like light brown.

This time, we have accurately captured the characteristics of these two-pleat trousers.

First, the back of the belt.
The striped belt lining has
Marbelt with russell.
The 1950s vintage two-tuck trousers have
Almost all of these parts are included.
With this Russell Marbelt,
When you tuck your shirt in, it keeps your waist stable.
This part has to be made to order, so it's expensive.
And hand stitching on the side seams.
This was also a common decoration in 1950s clothing.
Personally, from the top to the bottom,
I prefer items with this precise stitching.
And the belt loops are sewn in place.
In other words,
It does not have the double stitching that is typical of belt stitching.
The fact that it has double stitching means that
For mass production, they are made on a sewing machine specially designed for making belt loops.
The fact that it is sewn in a bag means that
To accommodate orders, the product is hand sewn into a cylindrical shape,
It is then turned inside out to form a bag and used as a loop.
These belt loops are beautiful.
and more than anything,
Slash pockets attached suddenly to the front of the body.
Among us collectors, it is affectionately known as the "Ikinari Pocket"...
From the late 1940s to the mid-1950s,
This has a lot of pockets.
This makes the hand stitching look beautiful.
But there is also that part...
Perhaps this construction can be understood by understanding the social climate of the time.
After the war, when a large number of returning soldiers returned home and tried to dress fashionably,
In the days when there was no concept of ready-made products (mid-1940s),
Visit a local tailor to choose fabric,
I chose the shape and had it made.
And in the mid-1940s, the city's tailors
There were a lot of Italian immigrants.
My favorite director is Martin Scorsese.
My parents were in the sewing business.
Her father was an ironer and her mother a seamstress.
And the sewing technique that Italian tailors are good at is "sewing that does not show the sewing machine stitches on the surface"!
That's why there are no machine stitches on the belt loops.
On the other hand, hand stitching is used as decorative stitching on the side seams to add a stylish touch.
And instead of a simple slash pocket using the side seam,
All of a sudden he's showing off his arms in his pockets!

Phew, I got quite excited talking (sweat)
For now,
I will examine this by looking at some of my personal vintage items.
First up is black linen-blend rayon from the mid-1950s.

It has slash pockets using the side seams, so it dates from the mid-1950s onwards.
Hand stitching starts at the bottom of the pocket.

And then there's the navy from the late 1940s, which we introduced previously.

This is a beautiful piece with hand stitching running from top to bottom.
Suddenly it's a pocket...
Too bad it's only a single welt pocket.

This is a super special, rayon Venetian yellow.

The hand stitching on the side seams is double hand stitching on both the front and back!
Then suddenly the pocket has double welts, and kneaded balls!
These two-tuck trousers are made with so much effort.
You rarely see this!

So, while referring to the vintages mentioned above,
Let's take a look at this season's Dry Bones 2-Tuck Trousers.
First, cinnamon.

Hand stitching, pockets, belt loops...
All perfect.
And Olive.

As expected, perfect.

I love vintage so much...
I've started profiling the creators (laughs).
While looking at vintage
We plan our projects with consideration for the feelings of the people who made them.
