Sakemaru in the summer of 2023.
August 23rd is the beginning of the heatwave according to the 24 solar terms.
The end of heat refers to the time when the peak of the heat has passed.
A cool breeze blows in the mornings and evenings, and you can hear the sounds of autumn insects.
The sunlight during the day is still harsh this year...
It started to feel a little cooler in the shade.
The sounds of insects at night have changed to include bell crickets and crickets.
Chestnuts are beginning to ripen in the gardens of our neighbours.
Autumn is already slowly approaching in nature.
So, here we introduce our new bottoms for fall !
The bottoms we've been waiting for have finally arrived!
Frisco Jeans new fall color version,
Viridian (DEEP GREEN) and old gold!
I've already purchased both colors!
As usual, I'll start here with a vintage background.
The origins of FRISKO JEENS...
It's a workwear company in San Francisco.
ELOESSER-HEYNEMANN
CAN'T BUST'EM is a brand that began in the late 1800s.
It is a type of bottom derived from the brand.
The meaning of the brand name CAN'T BUST'EM is,
It means "it will never be broken."
In California after the Gold Rush,
The more durable workwear was, the better.
In the 1930s, the brand used a rooster as its icon.
It had the support of the public.
However.
After World War II in 1946, Lee acquired Cantobastem.
After the war, many workwear industries became oligopolistic.
After that, Lee started developing the Cantobastem brand in-house.
And the resulting item is FRISKO-JEENS!
FRISKO probably refers to San Francisco.
1950s.
In the custom culture of hot rods,
A trend developed that said, "K is cooler than C!"
This is the era of so-called "KUSTOM KULTURE" (changing the original C to a K to make it look cool).
This is where Lee rode.
Also, regarding the word "JEANS" which is said to have been invented by LEVI'S,
They rebelled.
The spelling is based on the company name Lee (with two E's in a row).
He invented the word JEENS!
Frisco Jeans these days,
I used to be able to buy them cheaply at second-hand shops...
It's been about ten years now.
I never see it and when something does come up for sale it's expensive!
So I wanted to plan it myself,
I started making something similar a few years ago!
Over the last few years, I've made Frisco jeans with Dry Bones.
I can't find the black one... (Did I lose it?)
I have made them in off-white, khaki, and dark brown.
And more...
There is also a light-weight denim version with outside pockets.
So far I've conquered all of them!
Anyway, they are very easy to wear, so I find them very useful!
I will write about the features of these Frisco jeans.
First off, the front pocket.
The shape is known as an L-shaped pocket.
The shape makes it difficult for items to fall out even when put inside.
Carefully designed back style.
Single welt pockets, back straps, and suspender buttons.
It is modeled after the Cantoba stem work trousers from the 1930s.
Of course, the buckle is made from solid brass bent into a needle die.
Here's the main reason why they're so easy to wear!
This is a rare bottom for Dry Bones.
Front zip type.
The slider is, of course, pressed brass.
Moreover, it has a semi-automatic lock.
A zipper with a truly vintage feel (maniac).
My personal favorite part of the project is here.
The back waist belt and pocket lining are
Cotton herringbone twill!
Additionally, the size is stamped in indelible ink.
It will age with each wash.
It also introduces the pride of men's clothing.
The part on the back of the placket is piping!
In traditional work pants, this part is simply finished with a lock stitch.
It's faster and cheaper.
But piping is prettier, dressier, and more durable.
It is made to retain a handmade feel.
The silhouette is similar to military chinos.
A thick, straight cut.
This silhouette is
It has been passed down to the current hip-hop generation.
The lineup is now available in all stores.
There is also a simple page on the online shop.
As always, production is limited, so hurry!
And here comes my personal opinion.
Japan entered the end of summer on August 23rd.
The next day, on the 24th, they began dumping the "treated water" into the ocean.
Using a purification facility called ALPS,
Only the tritium that cannot be removed remains.
They plan to dilute it with large amounts of seawater and start dumping it into the ocean.
That's what the government is generally saying through the media.
However, if you look at the breakdown of the "treated water" after ALPS announced by TEPCO ...
It contains more than just tritium.
I think it would be best for the media, as well as the LDP, to do the same.
If you don't like it, maybe you should tell the truth?
Even an amateur like me can research this much.
And we know that the government only tells lies.
