This was the big snowfall of 2023.
This is Sakemaru.
Taisetsu refers to the time when winter really arrives .
The mountains are covered in snow and snow also falls on the plains.
This is also the time to start preparing for the New Year.
The other day, I finally managed to take a break from the hectic schedule that had been going on since August.
So I ordered a sashimi platter from my favorite fishmonger.
And it was served on my favorite plate.
Commonly known as "horse-eye plate" (made in Seto) from the late Edo period.
Aaah, it's so delicious...
If the container is good, the food tastes even better.
Now that I've recharged my energy,
I'm officially getting ready for winter!
Well, today…
It's perfect for welcoming the full-blown winter.
Introducing our new outerwear.
I will explain it properly, so please listen.
Here's the first item I made!
B-15 civilian model jacket!
Genuine mouton collar boa ,
There is a windproof flap on the inside of the zipper.
And best of all, the offset zipper .
What's particularly noteworthy is its cold protection!
The back is luxuriously lined with boa collar, the same material used in deck jackets!
Densely woven melton is attached to the inside of the front body.
It's incredibly warm on both sides!
The cuffs are double knit, as seen on flight jackets .
It also keeps out cold air from the cuffs.
It's a bit hard to see (lol)
Chin strap with mouton boa attached to the back of the collar .
When it's really cold, turn up your collar,
If you fasten this chin strap, your entire face will be warm!
Collar name tags for military items, made by Dry Bones.
In summary,
"A playful, simple, and experimental world of men's clothing"
It says this (secret).
As for Dry Bones...
In the past, B-15A,
M-422A, etc.
The L-2 series,
I've made a variety of things, such as the N series.
So, I would like to propose the "civilian model" here.
Click here for the original story.
Just as it is,
Civilian model of the B-15.
An explanation for those who are wondering , "What is a civilian model?"
Civilian is written as "CIVILIAN" in English.
Literally it means "ordinary citizen" or "civilian."
When it comes to a jacket named "Civilian Model" like this one...
Not officially recruited by the military,
A jacket produced by a private company for sale to the public.
It means that.
So the name has that brand name on it.
It clearly states "TAILORED BY GLOVER".
Although it is a civilian product,
It's very well made.
Mouton collar boa,
Front body with extension,
Offset zipper .
The lining is made of heavy-duty wool melton.
This jacket is
Probably made in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
The real B-15 was manufactured in 1944 for a few months.
Moreover, it was made of cotton-nylon material, which was used for the first time at the time.
Then, in 1945, World War II ended.
We are finally going to produce 100% cotton B-15A...
It is highly likely that it was created after A was officially adopted.
So here,
Let's trace the lineage of the postwar flight jacket "B" .
First, the aforementioned B-15A.
Evolving from the B-15,
Triangular leather tabs for oxygen masks,
Equipped with snap button tabs for cables.
Also, the B-15 was made of cotton nylon,
In A, we go back to cotton material .
There seems to be an issue with durability.
Made in 1945, just before the end of the war.
The name is worn out and unreadable,
The back is lined with fur fabric, very warm.
The next aircraft to be released was the B-15B, which was released in 1949-50.
The crucial difference with A is that the outer material is officially made of nylon.
The lining is rayon,
The hose tab has changed from triangular leather to rectangular leather.
While there are many smaller sizes, 42 is quite rare.
Next came the B-15C from 1951-52.
It is also famous for being worn by Marilyn Monroe during the Korean War.
Personally, this is my favorite of the B series.
The changes from the B-15B are:
The biggest change is that the nylon color has changed to navy.
In addition, the front zipper has been changed from offset to center,
It has a crown spring zipper!
Precious! Crown Spring Zip!
And the final form, the B-15D,
My personal items are only modified.
Normally it would have a fleece collar, but
This is a modification so change it to ribs.
In other words, it is the prototype of the later MA-1.
The color has also been changed to sage green.
The name also has a modified name...
It has deteriorated with age and is now completely unreadable.
Flight jacket hero,
This is how the B series evolved.
The model we are announcing this time is the B-15, which could be called the origin of the series.
And the civilian version.
I recommend some very rare varieties!
As I wrote at the beginning...
Here is the furious busyness that has been going on since August this year.
The Shinmei Farm's "Cinnamon Leaf Tea" is finally complete!
I took over my parents' house and started renovating it...
It has been about two years since it was discovered that the giant tree in the corner of the garden was a "Citrine" tree.
How can I use it?
Searching online,
Experiment with making tea leaves and tasting them.
Go to the health center and get permission,
I talked to people from the Farm Office Planning and Promotion Division...
With all the necessary equipment in place, we are finally able to mass produce!!!
Now available at Dry Bones retail stores!
Due to various circumstances, we sell it as "herbal tea" but...
Originally, cinnamon is an ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine with many beneficial effects.
I also saw a sudden drop in a certain number.
I'm almost back to health.
For more information, please ask our store staff!
And this one too!
Agriculture centered on leaf tea.
We named the group "Shinmei Farm."
The collaborative TS between Shinmei Farm and Dry Bones is also
Now available in all stores!
We look forward to your visit!
