This is Suita, Osaka store.
It's July and the hotter days are continuing.
But this sunshine is good for the plants.
I've been growing a small palm tree at home for about four years now, and the other day, while I was watering it,
I saw two new shoots that looked like broad bean pods, something I'd never seen before...
What is this... is it too hot? Is something wrong?
I was a little worried at first, but when I looked into it, I found out that it was a sign that the flowers were about to bloom.
After growing for 3 to 5 years, it will suddenly bloom in the summer, which is reassuring as it is proof that it has taken root firmly.
After a while, the sheaths will break open and many small flowers will bloom, so since my morning glory diary during the summer vacation, I have made it a daily routine to check on them every morning.
I'll let you know if it blooms again.
