New Staff

Hello, nice to meet you.

My name is Mayama and I am new to the Tokyo store!

I'm 26 years old and not from the generation that has been writing blogs, so it may be a struggle until I get the hang of it, but I'll do my best!

Also, I think there are few staff members of my generation, so I would like to be able to communicate from my own unique perspective.

I have no experience in sales and am still a novice, but I love clothes and music and am interested in a wide range of things, so I look forward to learning a lot from my customers in the future.

Today is only the second day, but my impression from working at the store is that all the customers are very warm. Of course, I think that this is also due to the personality of the store manager, Makino. I guess it's easier for this kind of thing to happen in a place where people with the same hobbies and interests gather...

And as expected, many of my customers look great in jeans. I love jeans, so when I see jeans with a nice fade or silhouette, I just can't help but... so I'd like to talk a little about my own jeans here.

I own about 20 pairs of jeans, including branded, replica and second-hand.

My preference is for workaholics to have a chunky silhouette, a cinch back, and a wide hem, and I like to wear them at the ankle with engineer boots. There are various stitches, but I like yellow stitching.

However, these preferences change depending on my mood, so I think that's one of the interesting things about wearing jeans. Recently, I've been adding suspender buttons and wearing suspenders, creating a more classic style.

I wear them in after one wash and starch them, and I wear them for a year without washing them when they are still in a crappy condition. I don't mind the smell (lol).

I have found that I enjoy taking good care of my clothes and wearing them for a long time.

And as expected, it was their jeans that first introduced me to DryBones. My favorite model is the Gold Rush Waist Overalls. The details that evoke the Gold Rush era have been updated for the modern era, and I love them.

Young people are increasingly turning away from denim these days, but it would be great if our generation could once again liven up the American casual fashion industry.

Although I still have a long way to go with this level of knowledge, I would be happy to chat with you about how to wear denim if you drop by our store.

I look forward to working with you.

Mayama
