Recently, I've been spending my days off maintaining my car.
However, since no maintenance can be done, the main focus is on repairing deteriorated parts of the exterior.
My car has wood panels, or so-called wood-grain sheets, but the edges have become soft and floppy due to years of exposure to UV rays and rain (tears).
It had been bothering me for a while, so I finally got around to replacing it.
First, remove the moldings and key cylinder, peel off the old seats and clean the bare surface thoroughly.
(These days, the internet is helpful in showing you how to remove parts and how to peel off the seat cleanly.)
Then, I cut the wood grain sheet, which I had purchased in advance and checked the color, and carefully attached it so that no air got trapped.
Put everything back where you removed it and you're done!
All that's left to do is attach the molding to the seam and it's complete.
It's just a small thing, but it makes me feel good to be beautiful.
