Hello, this is Makino.
Thank you for your continued support this year.
Since this is the first post of the new year, let's start with the beginning of the year.
I was at the store on January 2nd and 3rd, but then I took a New Year's holiday.
I went back to my parents' home in Kanagawa.
I heard that the night view of "Enoshima" is beautiful, so I avoided it because it is usually crowded.
This time I visited before the evening, and Enoshima was just as crowded as I expected!
But it felt like New Year's, and the crowds created a fun atmosphere that seemed to drown out the cold winter weather.
A wonderful sunset in the midst of all this.

It really feels like New Year's, doesn't it?
And the sun went down, and the night view we were looking forward to was...

The entire Cocking Garden around the observation deck at the top of Enoshima was lit up with brilliant illuminations!
It was so beautiful that I cheered!
That was my New Year's holiday.
By the way, this illumination will be held until around February?
Please come and visit us! (Please check beforehand.)
Now, here comes the main topic.
There has been a rush of new arrivals since the New Year holidays,
This time we'll be looking at a stylish wool jacket.
DJ-1195 Border Smoking Jacket

Its roots lie in the jacket worn by smokers in 19th century Britain.
From "Smoking Jacket."
Ideally, he would be dressed in Victorian clothing like in the title image and holding a stylish pipe, but I think there are some outfits that would be more suitable in today's modern world.
So I traced back its roots and tried to coordinate it in my own way.

Smoking = relaxation, so when you apply that to clothing, it brings to mind a casual look.
And ease of movement. So, a work shirt and denim pants.
It's even more fun when it has a faded look.
So, use accessories to avoid looking too casual.
This time I paired it with a wool hat and tie, and suede shoes (sorry, they're not original!).
I think the matte sheen of the brushed material gives it a semi-dress look.
And here's the key point: I used my favorite red argyle socks (sorry, they're sold out!) to match the color of the jacket and somehow balance the look out.
It's an easy style to try, similar to dress casual.

Next is yellow.

I'm wearing a sweatshirt underneath the jacket.
The rest of the outfit is the same as before.
Since I have the chance, I'm reusing items that I don't normally use.
Our sweatshirts are made to fit just right, with armholes and bodice, giving them a versatile silhouette that can also be worn as an inner layer under jackets like these.
Of course, it also works well as an inner layer for leather jackets and denim jackets.

Personally, I think tucking your sweatshirt into your pants is the 40s style lol
How about this relaxation method?
See you later.
