サスペンダーの長さ調整

Suspender length adjustment

Hello, this is Wami from the Osaka store.

Just the day before yesterday, I joined ChocoZap, which I had been interested in for a long time...!

It's getting harder to lose weight these days...

I'm going back to my hometown next month and I'm going to the beach with a friend, so I hope I can lose some weight before then (laughs).

I will come at least twice a week to exercise!!

I plan to go after work today

Well, today I'll be talking about repairing suspenders.

I recently bought some new suspenders.

Robust Suspenders

The suspenders are of course one size fits all, but unfortunately I'm quite short, so the problem is that they're too long for me to wear as is...

I am 151cm tall, and I think many petite women have the same problem.

This is what it looks like when used as is.

・The bottom part of the Y is too long and unbalanced.

・The band is too long and the metal fittings end up in a weird position.

That's why I have to adjust the length of suspenders, which have a Y-shape at the back, myself every time.

I'll try to explain how to do it in an easy to understand way using photos!

If you're worried that your suspenders are too long, be sure to check this out!

First, let’s fix the Y-shaped part!

First, decide how many centimetres you want to shorten.

This one is originally 14.5cm.

About 9cm should be fine, so cut off the excess, leaving a seam allowance (1-1.5cm).

Remove the rubber from the cut section, leaving only the metal fittings and leather parts.

Pass the metal fitting through again.

Pass it through face up, pinch the end with your fingers and twist it around.

It's OK if the seam allowance is on the inside.

Once you've confirmed the orientation, secure the end with a pin.

Mark with a pen and sew.

You can sew it by hand or with a sewing machine.

Once sewn it will look like this.

I think I left too much space for the seam, so I cut it leaving about 5mm.

Turn it over again and sew again about 1cm from the bottom.

Here too, it will be easier to pin it in place and make a mark before sewing.

The front side will be the part that is visible, so please sew it very carefully.

Now the Y-shaped part is complete!

Next, adjust the length of the band.

This is a technique that can be used by men too.

It's useful to remember this when the metal fittings hurt when you hold the bag👍

First, open the metal fittings on the adjustment part.

You will then see the metal fittings holding the band in place. Open this part with a flat-head screwdriver or something similar and remove the band part.

Now, cut off the excess length!

Once cut, put it back.

Now all the adjustments are done!

This is what it looks like when you put it on!

It seems a little short in the back, but it looks natural.

This is an easy adjustment to make, so if you're having trouble, give it a try!

That's all for today!
