USN N-3 Utility Trousers

These pants are based on the ones used as utility trousers by the US Navy in the 1940s.
The shape is similar to that of chinos, with outside pockets and curved front pockets.
The front buttons are dot buttons engraved with laurel leaves that have been treated to look like they have been damaged by salt.
It looks great on its own or with a shirt,
Of course, it also looks great when worn as a set!
It looks like it will be possible to wear it in a variety of ways in the coming season.
And what I like most about it is the exquisite texture of the fabric.
The distinctive olive drab herringbone twill is heavy at about 500g, but has a dry feel that doesn't make you feel its weight.
The color is intentionally faded, and the stitching is khaki to express the fact that the sewing threads of vintage items fade first.
It's frustrating that the texture of the fabric is so carefully crafted, but it's hard to fully convey it in a photo...
