We have recreated a work cap from the 1940s and 1950s.
This is a typical work cap that was popular among various engineers, farmers, and cooks.
The top is made of a single piece of fabric, with eight tucks around it to give it volume and make it easier to wear. This shape was convenient because it allowed most of the hair to fit inside the hat.
The brim at the front is lined with the same material, so even if you bend it and wear it, it won't snap and break.
In the famous American workwear of the past, most brands made this type of work cap, including Lee, Carhartt, Big Smith, etc.
They were also available in a wide range of store brands.
However, most of them are made of materials such as hickory stripes, light-ounce denim, black chambray, etc. I don't think there are many hats with a two-tone hickory stripe and chambray color scheme like this one.
The hickory stripe on the top makes dirt less noticeable and allows you to wear it roughly.
The chambray part is hairline chambray, a tightly woven outerwear material.
In addition, elastic tape is placed in the center back of the cap, making it a free size that makes it easy to put on and take off.
Although it is two-tone, the color scheme is denim-like, so it goes perfectly with jeans and denim jackets.
The inner diameter is 60 to 64 cm, making them several times easier to wear than American vintage pieces, which are smaller in size.
This is a hat that fans wear for a long time, with many people wearing the same one until it wears out and then buying a new one.
