2025年霜降の酒丸。

2025 Shimofuri Sakemaru.

Friday the 17th, with the 2025 frost just around the corner next week.
This is Sakemaru.
What is Shimofuri?
This is the time when the rain turns into frost and forms frost pillars.
It's already starting to feel cold in the mornings and evenings,
The southern Boso region is still in the peak of its red spider lilies blooming season.
In the past, red spider lilies were bright red...
Recently, white has become more common.
However, the other day...
Lost in the red and white,
I found yellow!

I also included a white one for comparison.

I started to see a lot of different colors!
Is the day when Blue will appear approaching?

Well.
In times like now when hot days and cold mornings and evenings alternate,
Do you often have trouble deciding what to wear?
The best items are available at this time of year!

it is…
Sweat parka with thermal liner!
Heather gray single color and...

Two-tone with navy,

Available in three two-tone colors including red.

This is an extremely rare variety that is no longer available as a vintage.
I used to own quite a few...
Solid gray (found image).

And a solid navy color (also a found image).

Basically, the surface is monochromatic like this,
It has thermal lining.
Wear it after playing sports,
Clothes that keep the body warm.
It seems to have existed since the late 1950s,
The most common period was the 1960s.
Then, synthetic fibers came into use,
Acrylic brushed fabrics and more are available.

This is my collection.
And here's the interesting part about this series.

Vintage items are
The zipper tape is basically white .
I guess...
They were often made for sports use by schools,
If we had to change the zipper color every time, the inventory would be huge.
So I think all of the zippers in stock were white.
The vintage items pictured above are all from the 1970s and 1980s.
We now have some leeway in our zipper inventory,
I think we're starting to get better at matching the body colors.
That's my guess.

Actually, I've been wanting to make this "thermal liner" parka for a while...
After all, it takes too much time and effort to make a lined cut-and-sew top.
There are no cut-and-sew factories that can make them (tears)
However.
A former staff member of Dry Bones returned to his hometown.
It's been ○ years since I started working at a cut and sew sewing factory.
Now he has been promoted to a director position.
It has come to be at the heart of the factory.
I asked, knowing it was impossible...
"I'll give it a try" was the wonderful response!
that's why,
Other
"Details that you definitely wouldn't find in vintage items"
We packed it full of the following!

For example, this add-on hoodie.

Since the 1950s, parkas have generally not been an afterthought.
This "ribbed collar + parka part added later"
Specifications from the 1930s to early 1940s.

And more!
Top and bottom zipper!

A zipper is basically a one-way zipper that goes from top to bottom.
In the late 1950s,
Although top and bottom zippers are sometimes used on expensive outerwear...
It would never have been used for cut and sew items.
But zippers that open from the top and bottom are much more convenient!
If you close the top and bottom tightly, you will be fully protected from the cold.
When riding a motorbike or bicycle,
If you raise the bottom a little it's much easier to control.
Zippers that open up and down are expensive, both now and in the past.
This time I decided to splurge.
Naturally, the lining is made of 100% cotton thermal knit fabric.
The zipper tape is naturally white.

There are even two tones available!
In other words…
From the 1930s to the 1960s,
We've packed in all the "interesting details" of a sweatshirt hoodie!
You won't find it in vintage
However, you can't make it unless you study vintage.
And you can't buy it unless you're a vintage fan.
Such an eccentric (and lovely) sweatshirt.

This is the only time you can make it, and you can't buy it.
Please hurry.

The other day, there was an interesting event at a local gallery.

The Minami Boso area is also known as "Awa."
Now it is possible to make pottery named after this "Awa" plant.
"Awayaki" was started by ceramic artist Kota Nishiyama .

Using clay from Awa,
Rustic tableware fired with Awa glaze.
The beauty of the colors and the appearance of the tableware are wonderful.
Just buy one for yourself.
I immediately arranged the sashimi on the plate and had a drink.
The sashimi I bought at the supermarket
It was about 100 times more delicious.
This incident confirmed to me that the clothing that shows off food is the plate.

See you later.
