Tweed Car Coatと、またまたサスペンダー改造

Tweed Car Coat and another suspender modification

Hello, this is Wami from the Osaka store.

Starting last week, I've been going to a boxing gym near my house!

The muscle pain the next day is pretty bad!

And it's pretty fun! First of all, I want to be able to hit the ball with a beautiful form.

For now, I'll try my best to do it once a week 💪 (while still doing the Chocozap I've been doing for a while.)

Well, we are in the middle of a rush to get new fall and winter items in stock, but I recently remodeled my suspenders again, so please take a look at the results (lol).

Back Cross Suspender

Color: KHAKI, OLIVE, NAVY

These suspenders have a cross back and are Dry Bones' newest release.

The inspiration for these suspenders comes from flight jacket suspenders used during World War II. The thick 40mm elastic and single loop button fastenings on the back are the same as those used on overalls, giving the pants a rugged look.

I am 151cm tall and when I wear this, the cross part at the back sits quite high up...I find this particularly bothersome as it sits higher than this when wearing bottoms with a deep rise.

So I modified it again this time (lol)

I want to lower the position of the cross at the back, so I will be tinkering with the back part, but I thought I could remove the button fastening part, so I took it apart!

Cut the thread with a seam ripper and remove the leather parts!

I thought it would come off easily, but it had some pretty strong adhesive tape on it. My hands got sticky.

Cut off the excess length (3.5cm) and clamp it back together!

Sew by hand! There are holes in the leather from the original stitching, so sew through them again. If the outside looks nice, you're good to go! (Of course, your hands and needle will get sticky at this point too...

And it's done! Try it on!

Oooh, just right!

The length of the band has also been adjusted.

( I touched on this blog, so if you're interested, check it out! )

Thanks to this, I'm now listening to it on heavy rotation 🙏

Well, that was a long introduction, but here are some of the items that have arrived today.

Tweed Car Coat

Color: BLACK, OLIVE, CHARCOAL

Size: 36(S), 38(M), 40(L), 42(XL)

*OLIVE is only available in sizes 38 (M), 40 (L), and 42 (XL)

It's called the Pharaoh's Court.

A popular staple item as winter outerwear. The car club coat got its name from the team "Pharaoh Gang" that appeared in the movie "American Graffiti," which is themed on the good old days of America.

This year it is made using simple plain tweed.

This makes the color scheme of the ribs stand out even more!

The crimson lining is also a highlight.

If you wear it without fastening the front, the lining will be visible.

This is surprisingly important as it is a place that is always visible when you take off your outerwear!

The back has side vents.

BLACK

OLIVE

CHARCOAL

My personal recommendation is CHARCOAL.

It's a lighter color than BLACK, so it won't look too heavy even when paired with black bottoms.

Since it's monochrome, it's easy to match with other items!

This time I tried a straightforward fifties outfit with a music note patterned shirt and jeans.

The lining is unpadded, so you can wear just a long-sleeved T-shirt or shirt underneath and throw it on lightly to create a jacket-like look.

When it gets colder, you can wear a denim jacket or gabardine jacket underneath.

The ribbing on the sleeves is tight, so many people will find the size to be quite compact.

So I think it's a good idea to choose a slightly larger size so you can play around with the innerwear.

We are currently holding a lucky draw event in store!

For every 10,000 yen you spend, you will be entered into a lottery draw.

There is no losing chance and you will win a gift certificate worth at least 1,000 yen!

The coupon validity period is set to November 30th, so there will still be new products arriving until then!

Quite a generous event!

Be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity to shop!

We are looking forward to seeing you on the weekend 🎶
