This yukata features a printed woven pattern similar to Oshima Tsumugi, and around the hem is a skull painting that was hand-painted on the back of a Taisho-era haori coat.

The material used is "Seo Alpha," a new fiber developed exclusively by Toray.

This new synthetic fiber is cool and comfortable, and boasts outstanding water absorption and drape. It is a new material that has been calculated and designed based on the cross-sectional shape of the fiber, so it is very light and has a smooth, dry feel.

Another selling point of this material is that it can be washed normally in a home washing machine by placing it in a laundry net.

The checkered pattern that dominates the entire piece is inspired by the woven pattern of Oshima Tsumugi.

On top of the woven pattern, we added a drawing-like "skull picture." This skull picture was hand-painted and was found on the lining of haori coats from the Taisho period.

The composition shows four skulls, who seem to be a family, playing happily. A little distance away, in the meeting area, there is also a lantern drawn.

The chic Oshima Tsumugi pattern and the faintly visible antique skull painting make for a playful, adult yukata.
