This coat is crafted from wool melton, a material adopted by the British Navy from the late 19th century.
The double-breasted front provides exceptional warmth.
Originally made from durable wool melton for use on the decks of warships, it was crafted from durable wool melton.
Furthermore, since it was intended for use in such climatic conditions, it was assumed that gloves would be worn, and for that reason, the buttons are quite large (30mm) for easy handling.
These buttons are particularly noteworthy; they were actually redesigned from deadstock.
These rare buttons feature 13 stars carved into the edge, known as "13-star" buttons, and were used until the 1920s.
Dry Bones had a certain amount of deadstock of these buttons, but we had used them all up, so we decided to recreate them.
This means that we're now able to reproduce them for the first time in several years.
Easy to coordinate with any style, the peacoat is a classic in men's clothing.
