DAS-389 Two Face Mystery Ring
SILVER 925
This ring is designed and produced based on a ring that was all the rage in the 1950s.
This is an exact reproduction of a 2-face motif ring from the 1950s that I own.
The term 2-face is actually "Comedy and Tragedy." Literally translated, it means "comedy and tragedy," and this motif represents the masks worn in these plays. It has long been used as a symbol for drama schools.
It was also used as a clown mask called a harlequin. The clown's costume is covered in flashy diamonds, which are reminiscent of the argyle pattern that was all the rage in the 1950s, and so argyle and 2-face have become icons of the 1950s.
The comedy mask and the tragedy mask are two sides of the same coin, spinning around on an axis in the center of the mask.
The material is 925 silver, or sterling silver. 925 means that the silver content is 92.5% pure. The remaining 7.5% is a mixture of other metals, such as copper. 100% pure silver is inherently very soft and unsuitable for jewelry. Therefore, by making it 92.5% pure silver, it is strong enough for jewelry. In the United States, 925 silver is stamped with STERLING. STERLING means "valuable" or "genuine."
This is a long-running ring that Dry Bones has been producing since the 1990s. A popular two-face ring, considered a gateway to 1950s culture, it's a must-have item.
