13.5oz Denim Cotton 100%
Size 42 is sold out.
This is a reproduction of a denim jacket with two pocket flaps, made during the mid-century period from the 1950s to the early 1960s , with Dry Bones' interpretation.
The reason why denim from the 1950s is considered the best among enthusiasts is because of the beauty of this second type.
The front has symmetrical pleats, and rivets are used for reinforcement at the pocket openings and cuffs.
There are also tuck buttons on both sides of the back for adjusting the size, giving it a more sophisticated design that is different from the first one.
The denim jackets of the time had sizes where the back was too short because the denim itself was made in a narrow width. For sizes 44 and above, the sides of the jacket were cut separately, using a pattern making technique known as "saibara."
At Dry Bones, we apply this Saibara to all sizes, creating an even more "rare size" feel.
In addition, the length is slightly longer than the vintage version from that time.
This is because the lengths of the items from that time were extremely short, so we adjusted the length to suit modern bottom wear.
Furthermore, it has evolved from the vintage open collar type and added a small stand-up collar called a ura-koshi.
The presence of this part makes a huge difference in how the collar sits.
The denim is made of 13.5 oz uneven yarn denim with a 7-count warp thread and a 6-count weft thread.
Enjoy the changes over time as the vertical fading is unmistakable from the original.
