As the affluent 1950s arrived, textiles with a variety of prints began to be produced.

While all-over patterns were the norm, a "border design that emphasized only the chest area" was all the rage among a fashionable group.

This "border argyle" pattern in particular is considered the pinnacle of textile design at the time.

It appeared in a store catalog in 1955 and is available in seven colors.

The fabric is made of rayon, just like the original.
