A classic gangster-style hat with a crown approximately 12 cm high and a brim approximately 8 cm wide.
The material is a polyester blend braid.
Narrow, tape-like material called braid, several millimeters wide, is layered and sewn together in a spiral pattern to create a round shape.
Achieving a beautiful circular shape requires skilled craftsmanship, making it a hidden gem.
It is then fitted into a mold and hardened with starch (glue).
The wide brim for sun protection, the height of the crown to prevent stuffiness, and the breathable braid material are ideal for Japan's hot and humid summers.
The ribbon used on the brim edge and crown is rayon grosgrain.
Recycled fibers are used to fit the shape of the head.
The inside features a genuine leather size tape (sweatband) with a grosgrain tassel.
