The design was inspired by the short-sleeved cotton sweaters that were popular in the 1950s.

The print is the Harlequin pattern that was all the rage in the 1950s. This clown, along with theatrical masks known as "2-Face" and diamond patterned costumes, became icons of the 1950s.

The inlay is made of 100% cotton. It is a cool material with ring-shaped fibers that stand out three-dimensionally. It is thick but has good breathability, so it is useful in the summer when you wear thin clothes.

Needle-punched ribbing is used around the cuffs, collar, and hem. The loose-fitting, stretchy ribbed fabric has a subtle color variation to match the body.

You can wear it with jeans and half boots for a biker look, or with two-pleat trousers and a straw hat for a summer resort feel.

This is a vintage-style summer knit that can be worn in a wide range of summer scenes.
