This item recreates the shape of the shirt worn by the character Jimmy (Robert De Niro) in the movie "Goodfellas."

This movie is a mafia movie directed by Martin Scorsese, and most of the people in the organization are of Italian descent. Scorsese makes the setting clear by having all the Italian characters wear long point collar shirts.

De Niro, who plays Jimmy, is of Irish descent rather than Italian, so he does not wear a shirt with a long point collar.

The shirts are consistently classic with slightly curved collars, which has a strong influence on the overall story.

Jimmy, a friend of the main character Henry, was also a member of the New York Mafia. He is a smart, cool guy who is a reliable tough guy among his friends.

However, in the story, he is not of Italian descent and therefore cannot become mainstream. His boss, Polly, and his friends Henry and Tommy are all of Italian descent, so although the fabric and color are different, the collar style is the same (a special long point collar).

Director Scorsese is truly impressive, expressing the roles in the story through costumes in this way.

In Dry Bones, the shape of this shirt is recreated as it is worn by Jimmy.

The front placket should normally extend all the way down, but we have intentionally made it shorter to give it a vintage feel.

Also, one thing we couldn't see in the movie was whether or not the suit had pockets, but we decided to include pockets for the wearer's convenience.

Also, while most characters wear double cuffs, De Niro's shirts are consistently single cuffed. This was probably the director's preference, so he stuck to the single cuff style.

The yarn-dyed dobby weave fabric used this time was something I discovered in dead stock. Dobby weave fabric itself is rare, and it's special because it comes in three colors, so it's like a hidden gem that I've been putting aside for a while.

The buttons are, of course, made of high-quality natural Takase shell. The mysterious shine of the natural Takase shell, combined with the gloss of the fabric, creates a luxurious feel of the Italian mafia.

The title of the movie, "Goodfellas," is a mafia slang term meaning "comrades within the same organization."

However, the fact that the collar type clearly divided the members into different affiliations adds even more depth to the film.
