We designed and produced this product based on a vintage sweat jacket from the 1930s.

In this day and age, jackets made from cut and sew material like this are very rare.

It was probably a simple winter garment made for sports, with an emphasis on heat retention. It is thought to be one of the earliest cut-and-sew jackets, and was later used in a similar way to a full-zip parka.

Perhaps for this reason, if you look closely, you will find many interesting details, such as the shape of the stand collar and upper collar being one piece.

The material is quite thick, a French terry knit with a 26 count yarn on the front and a 2 count extra thick yarn on the back. It has a heavy feel, and once you wash it, it closes up and takes on a beautiful appearance.

I added a rib in a slightly different color to the main fabric. This is because that's how it was on the vintage sample...

The most likely reason for this is fading over time, with the color fading due to differences in the thread structure of the ribbed part.

The buttons are vintage-style with two holes and a notched pattern.

Although it is a casual sweat jacket, it is a very elaborate piece.
