This piece was designed based on the casual sports jackets from the "Carmel" brand that were hugely popular in the 1950s.

Known among collectors as the "Nassau jacket," this style is a quintessential casual jacket of the 1950s.

The Carmel model, in particular, is famous for having been worn by various musicians of that era.

It features an upper collar that extends prominently beyond the lower collar,

box pleats that drop straight down from the chest yoke,

and cuffs and side vents with distinctive lightning-bolt-shaped seams...

These highly intricate designs were originally produced using the lightweight, supple fabrics typical of the time.

For this version, we used a special fabric infused with glitter, evoking the rockabilly scene of the era.

"Glitter" refers to a sparkling or shimmering quality.

In this jacket, vertical nylon threads act as the glitter element, creating a shimmering effect.

The material is a gabardine weave composed of 55% wool, 35% rayon, 5% nylon, and 5% polyurethane.

As we used deadstock fabric, production quantities were limited.

While it includes shoulder pads—just like the vintage originals—

the overall construction resembles an unstructured ("uncon") jacket, characterized by its remarkable lightness and suppleness.
