DP-532W Jean Engineering Denim Overalls

13.5oz Denim Cotton 100%

It has re-stock!

This is the most classic wide straight denim from Dry Bones' original denim brand, Gene Engineering.

The silhouette follows that of the 1920s and 1930s , when back straps and belt loops were mixed, and the details from the time when these pants were called "waist overalls" rather than jeans have been brought back to life in the present.

This series, named JEAN ENGINEERING, uses 13.5 oz. selvedge denim. The selvedge denim is woven with uneven warp threads # 6 and weft threads # 7 on an old power loom, which is now becoming extinct.

The brand name, which plays on the word GENE ENGINEERING, conveys the meaning of passing on these "good things that have been made since ancient times."

So the pocket stitch is a " DNA double helix diagram."

I would be happy if you could infer from this stitching the brand concept of inheriting the good old things and passing them on to the next generation.

The pockets have reinforcing rivets for a classic look.

In addition, a single chain stitch is used to attach the belt, which allows for differences in shrinkage caused by the reversal of the grain.

The side seams are also sewn with a single chain stitch, but this sewing method is used here to create a crisp feeling in the selvedge area after washing.

On the other hand, the front placket is piped rather than sewn with a serger, highlighting the careful craftsmanship of the item.

Other touches include the folded seam at the crotch, the offset belt loops and the curved pocket stitching, all of which are indicative of a reverence for vintage styles.

In particular, the exposed rivets on the pockets and back straps, which were only found on denim from the 1920s and 1930s, are reproduced as they were back then.

The buckle attached to the back strap is a masterpiece made by sharpening brass wire, an icon of the last century that only existed before this era.

We also added six suspender buttons, a style that was only available prior to this era, to the front and back.

You can experience "overalls held up by suspenders."

Try inheriting the genes of the 1920s while still existing in the 21st century.
