DP-532W Jean Engineering Denim Overalls “Loose Fit Model”

13.5oz Denim Cotton 100%

This is the most classic wide straight denim from Gene Engineering, Dry Bones' original denim brand.

The silhouette follows that of the 1920s and 1930s , when back straps and belt loops were mixed, and the details from the time when they were called "waist overalls" rather than jeans have been brought back to life in the present day.

This series, named JEAN ENGINEERING , uses 13.5 oz. selvedge denim. Woven with uneven yarn counts of 6 for the warp and 7 for the weft, the selvedge denim is woven on an old power loom, a type of loom that is now becoming extinct.

The brand name is a play on genetic engineering , and it conveys the idea of passing on these "good things that have been made since ancient times."

So the pocket stitch is a " DNA double helix diagram."

I would be happy if you could infer from this stitching the brand concept of inheriting the good old things and passing them on to the next generation.

The pockets have reinforcing rivets for a classic look.

In addition, the belt is attached using a single chain stitch to accommodate differences in shrinkage caused by the reversed grain.

The side seams are also sewn with a single chain stitch, but this stitching method is used here to create a crisp feeling in the selvedge area after washing.

On the other hand, the front placket is piping rather than serged with a serger, highlighting the careful handwork.

Other touches include the flat felled seam at the crotch, offset belt loops, and curved pocket stitching, all of which are indicative of a reverence for vintage styles.

In particular, the exposed rivets on the pockets and back straps, which are only found on denim from the 1920s and 1930s, are reproduced to look exactly like the original.

The buckle attached to the back strap is a masterpiece made by sharpening brass wire, an icon of the last century that only existed before this era.

We also added six suspender buttons, which were only available before this era, to the front and back.

You can experience "overalls held up by suspenders."

Try inheriting the genes of the 1920s and existing in the 21st century.
