We have recreated argyle, a textile pattern that existed in the 1950s, by incorporating it into a shirt.
Originally, this pattern was often used on gabardine jackets.
It was named "Dotting Argyle" because the argyle patterns fly randomly.
Like border argyle, this textile was very popular at the time.
These various variations of argyle became all the rage in the 1950s, and were used not only on shirts but also on jackets, cut-and-sew tops, and curtains.
Among them, the "Dotting Argyle" pattern was extremely popular...
It has been produced in a wide range of colours from light to dark.
For this edition of Dry Bones, we have chosen two dark color combinations that are easy to match.
This was the color that teenagers at the time competed to wear.
The collar has a long point, but the tip is rounded, reminiscent of the late 1950s.
The buttons are original dyed mushroom-shaped buttons.
The back of the yoke is lined with cupra satin for improved slip resistance and durability.
In addition, the patterns on the front and pockets are matched.
This is a truly exquisite product, made from smooth rayon material, which is hand-cut one piece at a time and sewn together with the pattern.
