A huge hit in the 1950s...

We've created a beautiful original fabric, woven with yarn-dyed nep yarn alternating with chambray stripes.

This time-consuming and labor-intensive fabric has been used to create this open-collar shirt.

This shirt is the same as the one worn by the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, in his films.

The design alternates between thick, iridescent, striped chambray and thick, yarn-dyed nep yarn.

The name BERMA comes from the brand name of this vintage shirt.

A different design was also worn by fellow rockabilly star Gene Vincent at the time.

This outstanding textile, which was so popular in the 1950s, is a testament to its popularity.

The collar has a short point and a 6mm single stitch, reminiscent of the late 1950s.

The buttons are made of black mother-of-pearl and are cat's eye shaped, another design detail from the 1950s.

The inside of the yoke is lined with cupra satin for improved slipperiness and increased durability.

The front body and pockets also feature horizontal stripes.

This is an exquisite item, made from smooth rayon material, which is hand-cut one piece at a time and sewn to match the pattern.
