DCH-612 Navy Stitch Denim Casquette
100% Cotton
Originally, this kind of hat is generally called a hunting cap in English, but...
In Japan, when we think of a hunting cap, we tend to think of something with a single piece of top.
So Dry Bones has named these eight-piece hats "casquettes" (meaning caps in English), after the hats that appeared in old French films.
The fabric used is unevenly threaded 10 oz denim.
It's a fun material that fades vertically and changes over time with use.
This denim was widely used in work pants and jackets up until the 1950s and remains popular.
Since it is made in a single piece, it is beautifully sewn with the assumption that the inside will be visible.
The piping is cotton bias tape.
This tape is designed to be applied at an angle, so it is effective in maintaining a shape that wraps around the head.
The inside of the brim is made of the same material as the hat and does not have any interlining, so it will become distorted with use.
Unlike new hats, it does not use a plastic core, so there is no need to worry about it cracking easily.
Elastic soccer tack is used for the sliding part.
It wraps softly around your head.
The stitching is the same color as the cap, giving it a slightly Euro-work feel.
Having one is a great idea as it can be combined with a variety of styles.
