This open-collar shirt was designed with resort wear from the late 1940s to early 1950s in mind.

I chose a long point collar, which is large and straight.

This type of collar was popular for a short period in America after the war.

When worn with the first button open, the collar extends down to the shoulders, making you look more muscular.

To encourage this style of wearing, the first button is a buttonhole rather than a loop.

Furthermore, only the first buttonhole is reversed.

In other words, the basic premise is that it will be worn open.

Also, there is only one chest pocket on the left side so that you can carry only the bare minimum of luggage.

However, we added a foldable section at the bottom to create more space inside.

This is a very time-consuming sewing technique called Manhattan processing.

We also added pocket flaps with octopus tentacles for added design.

What's more...the pockets and flaps have perfectly matched patterns.

The material is 100% cotton broadcloth with a Hawaiian print.

A kasuri-style sax blue background features khaki hibiscus and palm trees.

The buttons are specially selected cat's eye buttons for export.

Shorts are also made from the same fabric as this shirt.
