This piece is based on the design of a vintage Western shirt from the 1940s.

It is crafted from cotton flannel.

The brushed texture complements the striking Holstein pattern, evoking the atmosphere of a ranch.

Being made of cotton, it can be washed in a machine without hesitation.

A distinctive feature is the Western-style piping detail across the front and back panels.

Known as a "Western yoke," this is a signature element found on all Western shirts.

In the late 1940s—following the end of the Pacific War—designers began incorporating these Western details into open-collar shirts.

This trend was likely linked to the rising popularity of tourist ranches at the time.

The front pockets feature the piped "crescent" style often seen on Western shirts.

While "crescent" literally refers to a crescent moon—and the pockets are often curved to match that shape—this version deliberately opts for a straight-line design.

The cuffs also feature piping around the edges and are finished with a trio of buttons in true Western style.

The buttons are of the mushroom-shaped, sew-on variety.

Although "pearl snap" buttons became a massive trend from the 1950s onwards, mushroom-style buttons were the popular choice prior to that era.

When worn under a jacket, the glimpses of the Western yoke and crescent pockets create a stylish, sophisticated look.
