The 32 and 34 inch sizes are sold out.
The design is based on military prisoner pants, commonly known as prison uniforms, which were made in the 1930s and 1940s.
It is based on the prison uniforms used in the United States mainly until World War II. The unusually thick border stripes were easy to see from a distance, which helped a lot in preventing escapes.
It has four buttons on the front and six buttons for the suspenders.
Normally, work pants from this era have metal buttons to make them more durable, but for prison uniforms, urea buttons have long been used to prevent escapes. You can't chip away at the prison concrete.
These pants are very specially made...
A single piece of fabric is wrapped around each leg and sewn only on the inside side seam, meaning there are no seams on the outside side seam.
This is probably one way of reducing the number of cutting and sewing processes, but the shape has never been used before or since except for military work pants.
Most of the vintage items are made of light-weight denim. The striped top and bottom set is a Dry Bones original.
You can also wear it as unusual workwear.
Or, if you're a fan of a certain band, you can wear it as part of a matching outfit.
This item can be paired with a jacket and pants
