The design is based on the ribbed T-shirts that were widely produced in the 1940s and 1950s.

From the Pacific War to the postwar period, undershirts with wide ribbed fabric on the body that could be worn relatively loosely were popular. Cotton materials were the norm at the time, but wool-blend materials were also worn in cold regions and during the winter.

This T-shirt with a classic feel has been recreated using wide ribbed cotton fabric to suit the Japanese climate.

Most of the T-shirts made at that time were only available in white, but Dry Bones deliberately chose color combinations such as charcoal and cream to give a worn-in look.

It goes great with work materials such as chambray and denim. Also, since it is 100% cotton, it goes well with rayon and cotton shirts.

It is popular as an inner piece with a strong presence, or as a cut-and-sew top with a different knit design worn on its own.
