These suspenders were hugely popular between the 1900s and 1930s, and have now been revived in modern times, more than 100 years later.

The Robust Suspenders are a staple item for Dry Bones. Robust means "sturdy." The button loops are made of thick cow leather, which is more durable than other materials.

This robustness would have made it easier for the wearer to work during the Industrial Revolution and the Great Depression of the 1920s and 1930s. All leather parts, including the robust button loops, are original and manufactured from die-cut dies.

The metal parts are made of an alloy mainly made of brass. The brown ones are brass plated, while the black ones are chrome plated.

The rubber tape, called elastic tape, is 30 mm wide. It features a classic narrow stripe pattern in a woven pattern. The color of the leather parts is changed to match the color of the tape. Also, the color may change slightly depending on the leather stock, which also gives it a vintage feel.
