We've recreated the fishbone pattern, a textile pattern that existed in the 1950s, using rayon fabric.
Originally, this pattern was used on cotton open-collar shirts.
It was named "fishbone" because the pattern resembles fish bones arranged in an atomic style.
Like many other atomic style patterns, it was a very popular textile at the time.
In the 1950s, various variations of the atomic style were extremely popular, and were used not only for shirts but also for jackets, cut-and-sew garments, and even curtains.
Among them, the "fishbone" pattern was particularly popular... It was produced in a wide range of colors, from light to dark.
For this Dry Bones collection, we've chosen two dark color combinations that are easy to coordinate.
These are the colors that teenagers of that era competed to wear.
The collar is a long point, but with a slightly rounded tip, reminiscent of the late 1950s.
It follows the California style, which often featured short sleeves.
The buttons are custom-dyed, mushroom-shaped buttons. The yoke lining is equipped with cupro satin for improved smoothness and increased durability.
Furthermore, the front panels and pockets are pattern-matched.
This exquisite piece is handcrafted from smooth rayon material, with each piece individually hand-cut and sewn to ensure perfect pattern matching.
