I found some American-made deadstock fabric with a navy background and lots of HOT WHEEL branding on it, so I decided to use it to make an open-collar shirt.

HOT WHEEL is now pronounced "Hot Wheels" in Japan. It is a miniature car series released by the American toy manufacturer Mattel in 1968, and was popularly known as "Hot Wheels" when it was first introduced in Japan.

After that, the name "Hot Wheels" became established around 2000 when the American company Mattel established a branch in Japan.

This fabric is deadstock and made in the USA. Normally, this kind of corporate material would not be sold to the public, but it may have been released to the market as part of Mattel's sales strategy.

The textile, covered with the Hot Wheels logo and racing cars, is irresistible for fans of classic miniature cars.

The cotton broadcloth is a smooth material that feels comfortable to wear.

The style is an open collar with one pocket. The collar is a short point with machine stitching, reminiscent of the late 1950s. The buttons are cat's eye buttons for export. The patterns on the front and pockets match perfectly, like Mattel wallpaper.
