I found some deadstock leopard print fabric, which was very popular in the US in the 1950s, so I decided to make a shirt out of it.

In the 1950s, after the end of World War II, tropical motifs that evoked images of paradise were popular among soldiers returning home.

Flamingos, seahorses, palm trees, etc.

Among these designs, leopard print was also a popular choice.

The pattern was easy to incorporate into textiles and was used in many items, including men's shirts and women's dresses.

The fabric used this time is American deadstock cotton broadcloth.

We only purchased a small amount of items that were imported into Japan.

The shape is a short point open collar.

I focused on the late 1950s style.

This pattern is essential for creating a 1950s American look during the hot summer months.
