Inspired by the immense popularity of the 1950s… We've created an original, beautiful fabric by weaving pre-dyed nep yarn alternately with chambray stripes.
Using this exquisite fabric, which required considerable time and effort to produce, we've designed a short-sleeved open-collar shirt.
This shirt is identical to the one worn by the legendary rock and roll king, Elvis Presley, in a movie.
The thick, iridescent chambray stripes are woven alternately with thick, pre-dyed nep yarns, creating a distinctive design.
The name BERMA comes from the brand name of this vintage shirt.
At the time, a different design was also worn by another rockabilly star, Gene Vincent.
This is an outstanding textile that speaks to the immense popularity it enjoyed in the 1950s.
The collar is a short point, with a 6mm wide single stitch, reminiscent of the late 1950s.
The buttons are made of black mother-of-pearl and have a cat's-eye shape, another detail meticulously chosen to evoke the 1950s.
The yoke lining is equipped with cupro satin for improved smoothness and increased durability.
Furthermore, the front panels and pockets feature horizontal seam stitching.
This exquisite piece is crafted from smooth rayon material, with each piece hand-cut and sewn to ensure perfect pattern matching.
