A reproduction of the East Coast Ivy League style sports jacket that was popular from the late 1950s to the early 1960s.

The Ivy League style of this time also coincided with the rise of "preppy" people who attended prep schools.

They were a young generation who excelled in all sports and played a part in the diversification of sportswear. This may have been one of the reasons behind the popularity of these short reversible jackets.

The outer fabric is a dark-toned windowpane check. The cotton material has a slight Viyella-like brushed texture, creating a casual pattern with a calm atmosphere.

The lining of this reversible jacket is made of thin cotton pique, a fabric often used in workwear, but during this time it was a popular sportswear material worn by Ivy Leaguers.

Echoing the outer fabric, the back of the whitish checked fabric is decorated with natural colored pique, while the reddish checked fabric is decorated with jet black.

This jacket offers twice the versatility in how you wear it, making it a great bargain.

We also paid special attention to the shape of the pockets.

The checked fabric has slash pockets on both sides, resembling the typical sports jacket shape of the 1950s.

On the other hand, the back side has a flap pocket only on the left chest. The design is slightly reminiscent of the first type of denim jacket.

Both sides are made of cotton, so they can be washed.
