This is a reproduction of an inner shirt from before the 1920s, when lapel jackets were the norm.

The main material is jersey knit (English name: JERSEY) knitted with 14-count single yarn.

Originally, jersey fabrics were often made with 40 count double yarns, and 14 count single yarns were extremely thick and coarsely knit. By choosing this knitting method, I was able to create a "rough jersey feel" reminiscent of the time of World War I.

However, this is a 21st century knitting fabric, and it is tightly knitted, which gives it a firm, crisp feel and a heavy feel.

The ribbed collar and cuffs, which are knitted to match the color of the jersey, are the true essence of this shirt. The special knitting, technically known as "step knitting," is a masterpiece made from vintage pieces sent to a factory to be knitted.

We have recreated work from over 100 years ago using modern technology.

The woven shirt fabric attached only to the front is deadstock.

The classic stripes, created using yarn dyeing, are in the shape of a dress shirt called a tuxedo front (also known as "squid chest"), with the stripes only on the chest.

The shoulder seam where the woven fabric and jersey are sewn together is double stitched with a width of about 10 mm. As you can see from the back, this thick piping prevents the fabric from stretching.

This shirt gained attention when the lead character Leonardo DiCaprio wore it on board the Titanic.

This famous item, from the time when the distinction between underwear and shirts was still unclear, was later reproduced under the name "Grandpa Shirt" and reissued in modern times.

This cut-and-sew can be enjoyed in a wide variety of ways, from a tuxedo shirt to an inner layer for overalls.
