This piece was designed based on a US Navy submarine crew's winter jacket from the 1930s.

Its most distinctive feature is undoubtedly the collar.

It employs a "square shawl collar"—a style similar to the Italian collar—which was a design unique to this specific vintage model.

It also features a large tab that allows the collar to be turned up for added protection against the cold.

While vintage submarine jackets—like pea coats—were typically made of dark navy wool melton, we have opted for a striped wool-blend fabric for this version.

We also added a lining, a feature not found on the vintage originals.

The lining is made of high-quality cupro satin.

By taking the military surplus original as a starting point, we created a garment that is easy to wear as a casual wool outer layer.

It features large pockets with flaps at the waist...

...and we carefully aligned the fabric pattern on both.

The seamless alignment of the stripes creates a sophisticated, mature look.

It is a stylish outer layer designed for a mature aesthetic—perfect for simply throwing on and heading out.
