DS-2717 Viyella Check 2 Flap Open Shirt

100% Cotton

Sizes 38, 40, and 42 are sold out.

This is a typical 1950s two-flap open-collar shirt made from cotton viyella.

Moreover, the fabric is made of slightly brushed Viyella yarn with a small yarn-dyed check pattern, giving it a classic look.

The design is a classic Dry Bones style with a long point and two flap pockets. It's a typical 1950s design.

However, it is actually made with great care and attention to detail...

This regular check makes it easy to see, but when viewed from the front, the pocket flaps are slightly raised outward.

The difference was only 5mm compared to the 12cm pocket width. By increasing this 5mm, the man's figure appeared to have the "simple and sturdy" look that men's style desired at the time.

On the other hand, if the pocket flaps are completely horizontal, the outer edges will hang down when you wear the garment, making it look flimsy.

Similarly, the long-point collar is cut so that when the first button is open, the collar appears to rise slightly towards the shoulders. This helps to prevent the shoulders from appearing sloping.

It's a typical, ordinary shirt from the 1950s, but in fact, it contains the ``secrets of men's clothing.''

The classic brushed check pattern and subdued color scheme make this a stylish piece on its own, but it also makes a great inner layer for a jacket.
