This design is based on the western gabardine jacket that was very popular in the 1950s.

In the 1950s, with the rise of dude ranches, western fashion became all the rage, especially on the West Coast.

In the 1950s, rock and roll emerged among young people, combining hillbilly western music with black blues music.

The equation "rock and roll = western style" was established.

This was also the wealthiest period in post-war America, and clothes made extensively from rayon, an artificial silk that had just been developed within the military, were mass-produced.

It was against this foundation that the jacket was born: the Western-style rayon Gabardine sports jacket.

Dry Bones has designed and produced this product based on the vintage item, with further improvements. The fabric is rayon, just like the original, but the weave is satin, not gabardine. It has a greater luster, so the color is more vivid, and it is thicker, so it feels heavier.

The special piping that was produced at the time is also reproduced. This accessory took a lot of time and effort to make, as it is made by folding and sewing ultra-fine rayon grosgrain tape in two colors, black and white, alternately.

The lining is crimson, expressing a chic fifties style.

The front buttons and cufflinks are pearl hatch, just like the originals. They are also tetra pearls, diamond-shaped with white pearls (paste) inside. These buttons have been popular since the 1950s.
