This shirt has a two-flap, open-collar design typical of the 1950s.

The fabric is a yarn-dyed cotton windowpane check with a pastel color palette, truly reminiscent of the era.

The design is a Dry Bones classic, with a sharply curved collar and two-flap pockets.

It's what's known as a "quintessential early 1950s design."

However, it was actually crafted with great attention to detail...

While this regular check pattern makes it easy to see, when viewed from the front, the pocket flaps are slightly raised outward.

This is only 5 mm compared to the 12 cm pocket width.

By raising it by 5 mm, it creates the appearance of the "simple and sturdy" figure that men's style sought at the time.

On the other hand, if the pocket flaps are completely horizontal, the outer edges will appear to droop downwards when worn, resulting in a loose, floppy look.

Similarly, the collar, with its sharply curved tip, is cut so that when the top button is unbuttoned, the collar appears to lift slightly toward the shoulders.

This patterning prevents the appearance of sloping shoulders.

This is a typical, ordinary shirt from the early 1950s, but it actually contains the secrets of men's clothing.

The inside of the yoke and flap are made of synthetic cupra satin.

It has a smooth texture and feels excellent when worn.

This is a truly classic windowpane check, with a color scheme based on pastels that was popular back then.

This is stylish on its own, but it also makes a great undershirt.

Another advantage is that it's made of washable cotton, so you can wash it in your home washing machine.
