A reproduction of the two-pleat trousers that were all the rage in America in the 1950s.
The original name was Hollywood Belt 2-Tuck Trousers.
The Hollywood belt is a style of trouser that was popular in central California in the 1950s.
Trousers are originally made with a separate body and belt, and are sewn with a different grain to prevent the fabric from stretching.
However, the Hollywood belts of that time had the body lifted up to the belt part, and two tucks were added to create a beautiful drape.
The side seams are always sewn with a split, and slash pockets are often included.
Also, from the late 1940s to the early 1950s, it was popular to add a double-welted pocket exactly halfway between the tuck and the side seam.
This is a very time-consuming way to sew a pocket, but we have managed to recreate it as well.
There is also hand stitching on the side seams.
To be precise, it is a decorative stitch that looks like it was hand-stitched, but Dry Bones uses a special embroidery machine to reproduce this stitching.
The fabric used for this product is a dark brown, almost black. The color of the hand stitching on both sides is also
The same color scheme is reminiscent of the rockabilly scene of the time.
It is inspired by the famous song Black Slacks (Joe Bennett & the Sparkletones).
The material is 95% wool gabardine, and since it is deadstock fabric, we were unable to make many.
The back of the belt is equipped with a luxurious anti-slip rubber attachment called Russell.
It is also equipped with suspender buttons, so you can enjoy both the belt and suspenders.
In the 1950s, it was worn with a variety of items, including jackets, sweaters, shirts, and cut-and-sew tops.
This is a hidden gem from Dry Bones.
