In 2023, September 23rd will be the autumnal equinox according to the 24 solar terms.
Nearly a week has passed already...
Today, September 29th, is the Mid-Autumn Festival !
Everyone, let's look up at the night sky and worship the full moon.
And at Dry Bones directly managed stores,
The annual autumn "Gara Gara Pon" event is now underway!
Speaking of the autumn equinox, it's the autumn rattle!
Speaking of the Mid-Autumn Moon, it's the autumn rattle-rattles!
It's a super great raffle!
We look forward to your visit!
And in this Sakemaru blog…
It was just restocked recently,
The very popular USNN-3 utility jacket
& I'll write about trousers!
In fact, this jacket and trousers are
It arrived in February as part of this year's spring lineup...
It was such a popular item that it sold out before it was even listed on the online shop.
It finally came back in stock in September...
I'll try to explain the product properly.
First, as always, let me explain the vintage.
This is the vintage jacket and trousers I own.
The color of the jacket changes over time and looks very cool.
Olive drab faded,
I like how it's a little whitish.
However, there are brown stains everywhere.
No matter how you look at it, this is weird (bloodstains/sweating profusely)
When you become an adult, it's hard to wear it (tears)
And as for the trousers...the color is still new.
And this one is from the 1950s.
The buttons have been replaced and the side seams have been re-sewn.
In other words, it is very difficult to wear as a set.
"I want both of them in perfect condition!"
This is a project that has been in the works for many years!
First, let's look at the jacket!
The official name is USNN-3 Type Utility Jacket .
Utility jacket,
In other words, work clothes (work jacket).
As a little pun, it comes with a military name made by Dry Bones.
It also has a printed name tag to prove that it is a navy item.
If you write your name here in broken block letters, it will look more realistic.
It might be a little hard to see, but...
Herringbone twill is used as the body fabric.
The olive drab has faded over time,
Very vintage and cool.
The top button on the front opening.
This button is a one star with a laurel pattern.
Because it is a US Navy work uniform,
The processing gives the appearance of deterioration and rust caused by salt damage.
In addition to this laurel one star, the vintage also has
Some are stamped USMARINE CORPS.
And one of the points of this jacket is,
The space between the collar and the collar.
Normally this would be a perfect fit, but...
I intentionally placed them about 4cm apart.
I guess there's some room around the collar.
Just like the work clothes worn on a battleship.
pocket.
This jacket is basically the same as a coverall...
This chest pocket also follows the coverall style.
Attached with double stitching,
It comes with a pen holder.
The "USN" stamp is outstanding.
This was made at a local stamp shop.
There are many variations of this USN stamp,
It seems to vary considerably depending on the era and type of clothing.
I personally like this font
I decided to use this stamp.
In fact, this font is...
This flight jacket,
This is the font used on the inner pocket of the M-421A Type Jacket.
This jacket is a rare model that was only produced between 1940 and 1943.
In other words, there should be almost no N-3 jackets with this stamp.
Next up are the trousers.
The official name is USNN-3 Utility Trousers .
In other words, these are also work trousers.
On the right is the same USN stamp.
The outer pocket with a rounded bottom is distinctive.
The center of the belt loop is intentionally offset.
from the front.
The silhouette is almost the same as chinos.
However, the pockets are curved,
It has a more casual feel.
The shape makes it easy to take things in and out.
Front button.
The first button is a laurel one star with the same rusty finish as the jacket.
Below that are matte black donut buttons.
We also considered the possibility that the product may have been processed in a way that would prevent it from being damaged by salt.
What's outstanding is the piping.
If it was originally a military item,
This part is sewn with a serger.
Dry Bones dares to
Finish with careful piping.
Pride in men's clothing.
As mentioned above,
The USNN-3 utility top and bottom are packed with attention to detail.
Of course, it looks cool if you wear the top and bottom together...
It's also cool to wear the pieces separately depending on the occasion.
Wear a neat shirt underneath your jacket and wool trousers.
Trousers of this color also go well with a short denim jacket.
If you have the top and bottom, the possibilities for matching them are almost endless.
Please enjoy it.
And finally, a report from me, the representative, Sakemaru.
Actually, after I moved to my hometown, Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture,
There was something I wanted to do.
it is…
With the same attention to detail as Dry Bones' clothing,
Can we produce agricultural products?
In addition, the garden and fields left by his late father,
I have some trees, so I was wondering if there was a way to make good use of them...
First of all, we have finally managed to complete the first sample!
Herbal tea made from the Nikki tree in the garden.
"Cinnamon leaf tea"!
The package looks like this.
Completely pesticide-free and has many benefits (I shouldn't write them).
And the agricultural product brand I'm starting is
This sticker is included!
It's called Shinmei Farm.
(In English, it is called Illuminati Of God Farm, or IOGF for short)
I think I'll be able to mass produce it soon,
We plan to roll these out at all of our directly managed stores.
stay tuned!
