This is based on the bottoms that were used as utility trousers (work pants) by the US Navy in the 1940s.

The N-3 jacket was made during World War II in the 1940s, primarily for deck crew members. It is made of a distinctive olive drab HBT (herringbone twill) material. This design was developed as the bottom for that jacket.

The shape is similar to that of chinos, with outside pockets and curved front pockets. Vintage jeans often have laurel patterns or US.MARINE CORP. engraved front buttons.

Dry Bones is proposing a new piece based on vintage N-3 trousers with just a little extra work.

The silhouette is almost the same as the chinos of the time, with a specially curved front pocket. The material is olive drab herringbone twill, with a slightly faded finish that gives it a classic look.

And instead of the background color, I made the sewing thread a slightly khaki color. Since the work is done on deck, where there is a lot of salt, I set it so that the sewing thread would fade first.

The front buttons are dot buttons engraved with laurel leaves...these buttons have also been damaged by salt and have been given a rusty finish.

The outside and the seat hole are sewn with double stitched chain stitching. The crotch area is sewn with a time-consuming folded seam.

In addition, the part called the Tengu-ura is stretched to make it look chic. On the pocket, "USN" is stamped in indelible ink, a classic font unique to this era.

Although it has a vintage feel, it is a masterpiece that retains the pride of men's clothing.
